Today we had the honor of serving fresh wood fired pizza for a large Italian family. Mario Taorima flew in from Brooklyn, New York just for the party and said “Thanks Pacific Pizza, this was the best wood fired pizza…outside of Brooklyn of course”.
Our guests requested a pizza marinara with red sauce, anchovies and capers with some onions added. We’d never made pizzas with anchovies but, who were we to argue with this large Italian family who had come together to celebrate on a warm Sunday in beautiful San Diego. The pizza marinara was a big hit and the family loved the way they cooked in the wood fired oven.
We love working with our customers to create the special experience they want and we often learn something new and get to meet some amazing people. Thanks to Thomas and his whole family for inviting us to join them for their family party.
